"A Night to Remember" was held on Saturday 22nd January to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Action. Andy Thorne from Outstanding Branding and Will Nix / Gary Maundrill from The Leather Exchange have both lost people dear to them due to Pancreatic Cancer and wanted a way to remember, as we well as raise some much needed money. The evening consisted of a 5 course gastronomical feast with each course accompanied by a different wine that complemented the dish. Guest Bradley Thipthorp commented "Wow, the food was amazing, only bettered by great company" Ali Stunt, the founder of Pancreatic Cancer was also in attendance and shocked the guests with some horrifying stats: • Pancreatic Cancer only has a 3% survival rate • Pancreatic Cancer is the 5th commonest cause of cancer death but only receives 1% of overall funding • 90% of patients are diagnosed too late for potentially life saving surgery The evening ended with a raffle with the star prize being a cut and blow dry by hairdresser to the stars, Errol Douglas MBE, which was won by Deanne Hensey. Huge thanks were also given to the following people and companies for kindly supporting the evening with their donations to the raffle: Lord Alan Sugar - Signed Autobiography Jo @ Ice London - Crystal Bag Mark @ Tomlinson - Dozen Pro V1 Golf Balls Graham @ PF Concept - Designer Fruit Bowl DCI Chandler - 3 x Bottles Whiskey 1 Bottle Brandy Will / Gary @ The Leather Exchange - Dinner for 2 at The Leather Uppers Sarah @ Oustanding Branding - GHD Hair Straighteners Errol Douglas MBE - Hair Cut Mel @ Cross - Cross Fountain Pen The evening was a great success and a very healthy £1140 was raised. Speaking after presenting Ali Stunt with the cheque Andy Thorne, Sales Director at Outstanding Branding said "Gary, Will and myself have all lost someone to this terrible disease. Tonight was great to give something back and remember those people. Outstanding Branding and The Leather Exchange have come together to form a great partnership tonight and we are already discussing a summer event". |
